The concept of ‘family’, in its many forms, is central to everything we do. The research is clear the the support of a well-resourced family or community can save the lives of our LGBTQIA+ loved ones. To achieve our mission we need you to join our family. Here’s how you can help:
Start a PFLAG+ Group in your area:
PFLAG+ Australia is committed to supporting families of LGBTQIA+ loved ones across the country, and especially in rural or regional areas. If you feel you are in a position to help assist parents in your location, we’d love to hear from you. We can offer support from established groups nation-wide, along with ready made resources, graphics and guidance from peers to help you with this important work.
Become a volunteer:
As a national organisation we have many ways you can volunteer. Volunteer with your local group to help other parents, or bring your corporate, partnership building, marketing or other skills to the PFLAG+ Australia team and be part of an organisation committed to changing lives for the LBGTQIA+ community.
Become a Corporate Supporter:
Sadly funding to LGBTQIA+ organisations only represents about 1% of all philanthropy funding. You can help change this statistic and change lives by joining the PFLAG+ as a corporate sponsor. Your funds will be put to good use supporting families across Australia. As a bonus, you could be contributing to the positive wellbeing of families in your own team.
