Hon Michael Kirby was special guest speaker at our IDAHOT morning and rainbow flag raising at Blue Mountains City Council. It was a beautiful crisp sunny mountains morning. A tasty morning tea was enjoyed by about three hundred people followed by entertainment, guest speakers and our rainbow flag raising. The flag will fly for a full week outside council in Civic Place Katoomba as well as Echo Point.

Every man and his dog agrees with marriage equality.
Tomorrow Geoff Thomas from PFLAG, and his wife Sandra will begin a nine day road trip from Sydney to Melbourne in Geoff 's specially designed Marriage Equality Ute. Along the way they will visit twenty western New South Wales and Victorian country towns promoting Marriage Equality for our families and friends. We wish you both a safe and happy trip. Thankyou.

Blue Mountains International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT) Committee, in conjunction with Blue Mountains City Council, will hold a morning tea and rainbow flag raising. Morning tea will start at 10.30am in Thrive Family Services next to the council chambers in Civic Place Katoomba. This will be followed by speakers, activities and Flag raising in the council grounds at 11am. Our guest speakers include, Councillor Romola Hollywood and the Hon. Michael Kirby.
All members and associates of PFLAG are welcome.

Yesterday Ruth and Ron Green were presented with special Seniors Week Awards at a ceremony in Springwood. They were nominated by their local member of parliament Trish Doyle for their contributions to the Blue Mountains community through their work with PFLAG.

My husband Ron and I enjoyed a great dinner on Tuesday night with the 3 Sisters Social Group. Dinner was at Rosewood Cottage in misty Katoomba. Interesting company and tasty food. A lovely evening.

An interesting and productive PFLAG NSW committee meeting at Wentworth Falls today. We had a relaxing BBQ together afterwards. A great afternoon. Thankyou to everyone for coming.

Yesterday I was fortunate to enjoy lunch with about 30 members of The 3 Sisters Social Group. People came from as far as Toronto, Sydney and Cronulla to the Wispers Bistro at Wentworth Falls Bowling Club to eat a tasty lunch and enjoy some interesting social conversation.
I had a happy afternoon thanks to these charming people.
